Preparing for Your Visa Medical Test in Abu Dhabi

Quick Guide to Visa Medical Screening in Abu Dhabi

Before your residency visa can be stamped or renewed, all expats over the age of 18 must pass a medical fitness test. In Abu Dhabi, this process is strictly regulated by the Department of Health (DOH).

Where to go?

The most common centers are the Capital Health Screening Centre (CHSC) and SEHA Disease Prevention Centers. We recommend centers like the one at Al Jazira Sports Club or Mussafah for fast processing.

What to bring?

To avoid being turned away, ensure you have:

  • Original Passport (or a very clear copy).

  • Valid Entry Permit or current Visa copy.

  • 2 Recent Passport-sized Photos.

  • Emirates ID (for renewals).

What to expect?

The screening typically involves a blood test and a chest X-ray. Results are usually available within 24 to 48 hours. If you are in a rush, we can assist in booking VIP or Priority screening which can provide results in just a few hours.

Avoid Rejection:

Ensure you are well-rested and hydrated. If you have a history of lung issues or other communicable diseases, please consult with us first so we can guide you on the necessary medical reports required by the DOH.
